Antares presently offers several different courses. Our signature course is the 88-day field guide course which is designed for those students keen to follow this with a view to becoming fully fledged and professional guides within the stimulating world of wildlife tourism. We also offer a variety of other short courses for those just interested in learning a little more about the bush or enjoying an extended break away from the stresses of everyday city life. Antares has aligned it 88-day course along the guidelines stipulated by FGASA and CATHSSETA as of June 2011. We believe though that your time may be better spent doing self study in several periods throughout the course, where there is still the presence of a trainer to assist you with those difficult topics, rather than one spell at the end and as such our courses will now be set over the full 90 days where possible. Download a copy of the itinerary of the 88-day course. (This itinerary may change from time to time.) Before you pack for your trip to the centre, visit Africa.com for more information on our beautiful country South Africa, as well as travellers' health information. Crossing some borders after your stay with us? Visit Africa.com for travel guidance on Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and every other African country.
