The centre is located about 30 kms south of Phalaborwa on the Grietjie Nature Reserve. Grietjie (almost 3000 Ha) is a member of the larger Balule Nature Reserve (about 35 000 Ha) which in turn is part of the Greater Kruger National Park. We are also within the world's 3rd largest biosphere reserve, the Kruger to Canyons Biosphere Reserve. The centre is a comfortable 6-hour drive from Johannesburg through some stunning scenery near the escarpment. Alternatively there is an airport at Phalaborwa and we can collect you from there and transfer you to the centre. To reach us follow the directions and map below. From Hoedspruit follow the R40 north towards Phalaborwa. Cross over the Olifants River and continue until you see the turn off to Grietjie, approx. 20kms after the small town of Mica. At the control gate tell the security guards that you are going to Antares. At the crossroads turn right and follow the signs for Antares. As you reach the gate to Olifants North Game Reserve, turn left and follow the road for about 1km. Antares is the first road to your right. The centre is 12 kms along a dirt road from the R40.
